No you necessarily need not have previous beta testing experience because there has to be a first time for every tester
.But the requirement depends on the developer.Some developers do prefer newbie testers for better feedback from a newer perspective.A friendly tip-just make sure that your resume looks detailed and good enough to assure the developers that they are going to have an astute testers who pinpoints every errors,bugs or mistakes in dialogue grammer or spellings. 
Just like I would be doing for my game when the testing phase starts-I would have at least one testers with no experience in RPGs because that way I'd get to know how easy or enjoyable it is to play my game from a non veteran RPG player perspective
